About Me
My Story Unveiled
Hi, I’m Angela — a longtime teacher, wine-loving home cook, and midlife mama to three amazing grown daughters.
One is a physical therapist, another is in nursing school, and the third is currently getting her MBA. We’re in all the busy, beautiful phases of life over here — and like many families, we’ve been through joy, chaos, and deep heartbreak.

Last year, we experienced a tragic loss that shook our family to the core. It was unexpected, life-altering, and one of those moments that makes you see everything differently. In the middle of our grief, my daughters encouraged me to start writing down my recipes — the ones they grew up with, the ones we gathered around during holidays, and the ones that made ordinary nights feel special.

They’ve always told me I should’ve opened a restaurant, but teaching has been my calling for years. Still, that loss reminded me how short life is… and how important it is to do what you love, while you can.
So here I am — married to my husband Tony, dog mom to our spoiled little dachshund Sven, and finally saying “yes” to the things that light me up: cooking with wine, creating meals with meaning, traveling during school breaks, and planning fun trips with my family and friends whenever I get the chance.

Tony and I also love going out to eat and discovering new restaurants. Whether it’s a cozy local spot or a trendy new place with great wine pairings, we genuinely enjoy trying new food and making it part of our weekly routine. And when we’re not at the dinner table? You can probably find us at the horse track. We’re regulars — cheering on our favorites, placing a few fun bets, and soaking in the excitement. It’s something we both grew up with and still love doing together.

I’m also an avid reader — I start my mornings with a devotional and a good self-help book, and end most evenings with something fun. I read everything from thrillers and historical fiction to romance, memoirs, and the occasional spicy page-turner.

Midlife, Wine & Wander is my little corner of the internet where I share the meals we love, the places we explore, the bottles we open, and the real-life moments in between. This stage of life may be messy, but it’s also filled with flavor, joy, and stories worth telling.

I’m so glad you’re here. Pour a glass and stay awhile. 💛
